Edwardsville Neighbors
In 2009, a hardship that hit close to home inspired and committed Chad and Kathie Opel to launching a community effort with the goal of helping other families in similar times of crisis. By 2010, Edwardsville Neighbors was established as a certified 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Today, led by a volunteer board of directors, their tireless charitable work continues in actively seeking and accepting nominations for families facing medical hardship within District 7. Since its inception, the charity has given back over $1 million dollars in direct assistance to local residents.
